Making changes to your project - Name, Project Director, Mission/Activities

The following types of changes to your project require a signed amendment to your fiscal sponsorship agreement:

  • Change in Project Name

  • Change in Project Director

  • Change in overall Project Mission and/or significant activity changes*

  • Change in Project Grantee (Model C only)

*Activity changes may require an amendment and/or updates to our insurance provider; SGF can assess once we have the details of the changes.

If in the course of your project you plan to make any of the above changes, please inform socialgood@socialgoodfund.orgenvelope of the change/reason for it, so that we can prepare and email an amendment for all parties to sign. Unless and until an amendment is fully executed, everything in the original fiscal sponsorship agreement stands.

In the case of Project Director (PD) changes, make sure the individual(s) who will be taking over as PD(s) are created as contacts in the Members Portal. It’s expected that the outgoing Project Director will help guide the new PD on a general understanding of SGF policies/procedures, as well any project-specific information they need. Be advised that changes to the Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement are independent of changes in employee status. If there are employee changes related to Project Director changes, the PD of record must complete the necessary information in the Employee section of the Members Portal, and consult with HR as needed. Note if your project will become a 501c3, move to another sponsor, or cease its work altogether, please see the section on terminating your sponsorship agreement.
