Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is essentially a charitable investment account for the purpose of supporting charitable organizations that an individual cares about. Each institution operating DAFs works according to its own standards. If you have donors wanting to contribute via a DAF, you can share with them SGF's EIN: 46-1323531, as well as the SGF Bank Information and Wire Instructions, accessible in the Members Portal. If they ask, a fund representative can email socialgood@socialgoodfund.org or call our main number, 510-621-7223 to verify that you are one of our fiscally sponsored projects. Please ask when they donate to list the project name in the memo line so we know where to allocate the funds, and also to inform your project of the details including date, method and amount of payment. A project rep should fill out the deposit notification form with that information.
