International Trips

Please advise SGF about any international trips that your project plans to participate in, and complete an event notification at least 30 days in advance of expected travel.

Note that SGF has business travel insurance available to staff, participants, and/or volunteers participating in project-related international travel to *approved* countries. We will provide the most current business travel insurance policy information to the project after receiving a related event notification form.

Be advised that certain regions and/or countries, such as those subject to US government sanction or those with a travel warning or advisory in place, may be excluded from our business travel insurance coverage. In such cases, and in any case where safety is particularly threatened, we recommend projects not travel, and reserve the right to prohibit travel to such areas.

Since conditions change regularly, we recommend projects consult the State Department advisory list when considering travel, and also in the days leading up to any planned trips, in case conditions have changed such that a postponement or cancellation of the trip is warranted.
