Benevity and Other Matching Platforms

Many employers use Benevity to process matching donations from employees. If you are soliciting donation opportunities from employees of companies that you know will be using Benevity for matching donations, please let us know and we can set up a specific “subproject” for you within the SGF-Benevity account.

If any of your donors’ employers use Benevity to disburse funds, it may take up to 2 months before we receive the matched donation, though it may also arrive much sooner. This is because each company has their own timeline for processing and posting donation reports for Social Good Fund. Funds from Benevity typically arrive during the third week of each month, one month after the donation is posted by the employer/company.

It is your responsibility to follow-up with your donor and their company’s donation-matching procedures, including inquiring about when the matching donation may be received.
