Using Online Donation Platforms Other Than Fundrazr or Mazlo

You may be able to use fundraising platforms other than Fundrazr or Mazlo for online fundraising (excluding PayPal). But it will require you to follow two important steps:

  1. Connect SGF’s bank account information to your online fundraising campaign

  2. Inform SGF when a deposit has been made into Social Good Fund’s bank account using the Deposit Notification Formarrow-up-right on the Member’s Portalarrow-up-right.

Step 1, is a simple process, just use SGF’s bank informationarrow-up-right when setting up the new account, with your personal contact information.

Step 2, is to let us know the money is yours, when it arrives. If you do not use the deposit notification form, your account may not be credited with the donation.

Here’s why: Because you are setting up the online fundraising campaign, the platform you are using will email YOU (as a representative of Social Good Fund) when a deposit has been made in Social Good Fund’s bank account. We will only see a dollar amount arriving in our account (remember, you don’t have individual bank accounts) from a payment processor, meaning it may not be identified or tagged for your project in any way. The email you receive from the online platform notifying you of the deposit is the information we need to match our account statement about a deposit to your project.

After you receive the deposit notification email, tell us about the incoming donation by completing this form: DEPOSIT NOTIFICATION FORMarrow-up-right

You should use this form to notify us of ANY deposit (check, online payment, bank transfer, etc.) into our account so that we can credit it to your project, except for those received through Flipcause.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE WE ARE AWARE OF ANY DONATIONS COMING TO US FOR YOUR PROJECT FROM ANY THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM.

Please be aware when using a 3rd party platform, that SGF is not in control of when the 3rd party sends us the funds. There may be delays outside our control. SGF is not able to advance funds to your project for any reason, including if there are delays on your funder or platform’s end. If you are doing a fundraiser and anticipate needing the proceeds by a certain date, we recommend using Flipcause.
